"Historia de la Espuma" is a collection of nine songs that respectively comprise the soundtrack of nine video pieces by acclaimed Catalan artist David Bestué.

The idea was to record in a totally different way than we had done before. We did not use any electric bass, electric guitars or even a proper drum kit in order to achieve a folk, lo-fi feeling, as if the songs were recorded by a group of friends fooling around in some living room with whatever instrument they could get their hands upon. The videos are conceptually complex but have a very home-made feeling therefore the music had to go that way as well. We nevertheless conserved the principal characteristics of every Evripidis and his Tragedies´song: dark humor, hopeless romanticism, rich vocal harmonies and classically-tinged (and at times thundering) pianos.

Those songs had been previously unreleased apart from "Our Trash". "Lights out" was re-recorded for our 2011 album "A Healthy Dose of Pain".

On an autumn day
we took your car and drove to the woods.
You´d made a promise to take me
where the leaves turn to brown and yellow and red and gold
and you kept it
thank God you kept it oh oh oh oh.

So we danced among the trees,
we jumped over streams, we played hide and seek,
we pretended to be hunters
we got dizzy on mushrooms that we found on the ground

like two mother nature´s sons
like two mother nature´s sons.

We made love among the bushes,
among the moss covered rocks,
on a bed of leaves,
twisting and turning on the ground
like two polecats doing some crazy war dance,
and like a small carnivore
you left a mark of your teeth at the back
of my neck

The hours passed and we got nervous,
we crushed the flowers, we threw some stones to the rabbits
we scared some squirrels and some birds
we pissed in the stream and then I fiercely said

to the city where I belong
here it´s damp and cold I need to go back home
I´m no other nature´s son.
I want to smoke fags and drink some rum
I wanna have pizza from the restaurant next door."
Track Name: And I thought, how strange
We walked around
through the town of Barcelona,
past the roman walls,
a dark romanic church,
a tall gothic cathedral
a majestic baroque palace,
a colorful modernist mansion,
and I thought how strange
that all this remains
and people´s tendency to destruct
left them bruised but did not manage to erase them
and the soil beneath
remains the same
and there is a lot more to discover.

I went through
a pile of old photographs,
the party where we met,
our first weekend in that village,
that drunken night we stayed home,
those vacations on the islands,
a trip to Berlin, a trip to Athens,
the time we decided to shoot porn stuff,
and I thought how strange
that our pact remains
and our tendency to destruct
left it bruised but did not manage to erase it
and the love beneath
remains the same
and there is yet a lot more to discover.

Sometimes what I see is not what it is,
what i want is different from what happens
and what I end up doing
is different form what I’d rather do.

I am wreaking my brains to find a way to tell you
but I don’t say a word.
My head is full but my mouth is empty,
my heart is open but my lips are sealed.

but I lower my face
when you pass me by.
I drink and smoke and make stupid jokes
so that my mouth will be occupied
and it won’t be able to say
“I want you.”

No wonder why all this
makes my soul itch,
makes my eyes hurt,
makes my head explode,
ties y stomach in a knot.
